Finding a place for philosophy

RE professionals are very familiar with the inclusion of philosophy of religion and ethics into the secondary curriculum. Indeed some secondary departments refer to themselves as Philosophy and Ethics rather than Religious Studies, for example. Arguably, in some cases that does the study of religion a disservice. In this article, Wayne Buisst explores how philosophy might contribute to students’ study of religion that goes beyond the ‘green zone’ of philosophy of religion and ethics.
