Labelling – an essential mess

We have all become increasingly aware over the years of the need to reflect diversity within religions when we teach RE. In more recent times there has been a growing interest in what some have called ‘nones’: people with no affiliation to a religion. Drawing on the Understanding Unbelief report (2019), Martin Cobbold problematises the danger of stereotyping complex human believing and belonging.
