Reviews

In this issue we have reviews from two members of the RE Today team who have clearly made good use of lockdown time for some significant reading. Lat Blaylock’s review of James W. Sire’s book on philosophical worldviews provides insights into the current move towards ‘worldviews’ in RE, and is a reminder that an understanding of what constitutes a worldview requires no less depth of analysis than that required for a deep understanding of the nature of religion. The importance in RE of recognising that there is diversity within as well as between religions is highlighted by Geoff Teece in his reviews of two published books on Islam. Another timely reminder.
