The problem of evil in the time of a pandemic: what lesson can we learn?

In this article I have aimed to interpret the problem of evil from a secular perspective as an alternative to the standard theodicies, in light of the recent events of the pandemic we are currently faced with. The article concludes with some thoughts about the responsibilities of human beings towards new forms of natural and moral evil. Teachers could read this essay with senior students.
